It's always just about the calories
The one thing to remember is everyone is different and responds differently to a calorie reducing diet.
Congratulations on finding a regimen that works for when you focus on calories. This will probably work for millions of people but may not work for everyone.
I myself respond most effectively to intermittent fasting and watching carbs closely. It doesnt mean its the best or most effective way to lose weight for the general population, its just the best for me.
I do really like how you mention that weight training is important and I believe that whole heartedly. Everyone who is trying to lose fat should have some form of resistance training in their regimen. Everyone

Tired
Not eating late is a very good start
sometimes too many carbs especially high glycemic index carbs will make you tired
start a little walking
changing one thing at a time is most effective

Fat burners for women
be careful with "fat burners". If you think about it, if there were any real pills that caused fat to "melt away" there would be no overweight people. There are certain supplements that have been shown to help promote fat "movement" from the fat cell but the fat has to be burned or metabolized in the liver or muscle.
There is alot of data to show that caffeine is one of the safest and most effective fat "movers" but you need exercise or other conditions in order to "burn" the fat

So don't throw away money on "fat burners". Some national weight loss programs
actually require you to buy these pills as a part of their program.
Go to starbucks instead !!!!!
good luck
