I just turned 40 years old on october 4, 2011 and I would like to lose about 90 lbs. I have been happlily married to a wonderful man, Don, for 20 years. I have two beautiful Daughters Olga 13 years old, and Morgan 9 years old. I presently share a home with my mother-in-law and family. We have 2 dogs and my mother-in-law has 2 dogs. I work in a Library so I get some exercise putting books away, straightening shelfs, helping patrons, and also walk 1 1/2 miles twice a week. My husband had Gastric by-pass about 3 years ago and has lost about 175 lbs...I am very proud of him. Unfortunely, I was hoping to lose with him...:( did not. We are healthy but not in the shape we would like to be in. I AM A SWEETAHOLIC!!!!

My Motivation for losing this weight.
I am motivated by my girls to get healthy so I can spend more time with them. I also found out with being overweight, you up your risk for breast cancer, diabetes so if I get some of this weight off maybe I can help myself from suffering. My family has a STRONG history of breast cancer and I had to start mammograms @ 32 because of it. So any little thing I can do to aleate some of this risk will help. I also have fibromyalgia, if I get some weight off maybe that will help me feel better instead of being in pain during the day.
My Husband gained 250 lbs since we first met. He got Gastric Bypass surgery in 2008. I don't want myself or my girls to ever have to go through that. He gets sick if he eats too much or the wrong thing. Will have to take vitamins the rest of his life. It is a solution but it is also a life style change because you can not eat but about the size of your fist full of food and never drink and eat at same time. (I like my dring with my food) Well, I guess I need to cut it off, I have bent enough of everyone's ear. Thank you, Tammy

Calories
Good we do not realize how many calories we eat until we document them for a week or so. I kept a journal for about a week and found out how many calories I was eating. I is easy to get weight on but HARD to take it off. Keep up the good work aslong as you do not go below 1200 calories I think you will be ok!

Smoking
I agree, Wednesday my family and I went to Fair and It took every will power I could muster to resist FUNNEL CAKE. Every year I have one because it is only once a year, but I suceeded. I think about sweets when I know I am not supposed to have them.I am a sweetaholic. But have found a gum that has flavors like...Strawberry shortcake, mint chocolate chip, apple pie...they taste just like the sweet without the calories. Extra suger free gum.
