My fellow FS friends, I can't thank you enough for all your well wishes and prayers.., it has worked! My MIL has "awakened " let me remind: she's only 55, about 4'8" near 400 lbs, COPD, sleep apnea for years, had a black leg and hands from ruined circulation, asthma & severe allergies from childhood, was basically in a vegetative state, required oxygen but it wasn't even getting to her brain correctly and had some disorder which the c02 wasn't getting through her heart, and an enlarged heart.today she is able to carry on conversations, she had a mask fitted for her face and will need to take the oxygen everywhere. But... She is getting better, the doctor wanted to induce a coma, but we said no. She has waken up, now we must figure out counseling and how to drop the weight because she can't move, but her brain is back! Any ideas on diet for her? LCHF is safe for an enlarged heart? I want to give advice but I have no clue! Maybe some of you experienced dieters would have an suggestion?

Any advice from FS members appreciated on this if you have knowledge about this topic: 55 years old, morbidly obese to the point of no walking, COPD and asthma, sleep apnea for years, severe allergies, semi vegetative state, currently in hospital with iV and oxygen, heart size has increased, body not bringing enough oxygen to brain which is not making enough carbon dioxide. She still has some brain activity, she talks a little, smiles and cries. Doctors want life support- they want to induce a coma by anesthesia. anybody ever known about this?

I've been going through some family tragedies this week- my mother in law who is only 55 years old was hospitalized for obesity related issues. She is morbidly obese and became unable to move, breathe, eat. She is in a hospital now getting oxygen and has feeding tubes and is one step above getting a heart attack or going into a coma. She lives in Mexico so my husband and my daughter flew out to see her. If you're reading this, I ask for your prayer for her. She still has a teenage son. It has waken me up on how obesity can really strip years off your life.
