I used to like be bike riding. Bicycle, I mean. I rode in the rockies, east coast mountains, the alps, carpathian, all over. I always loved that. The ups and downs. Same with weight. I love to be loosing weight. Everyday you jump n the scale and it’s down a bit you are in a good mood, feel like you can conquer the world. Let your weight take an unexpected turn up, and boom! Grouchy, sad, miserable ...and why me???
The plateau’s drive me crazy! Even the increases are ok, IF I’m with my people, having fun etc. Well it’s to be expected . I have learned to make a decision on guilt. Enjoy the time, don’t be foolish and jump back on.
So now I’m on the way down, it’s fun! BUT I am hitting that weight which I was stuck at for so long.... I hope I sail through and head downwards for a nice long downhill. Hang onto your hats! We’re going down! ( I hope)!

While I should be getting a pillow to rest my lovely scale on, I know it’s just water weight;(
But I have a month before the next excursion which has the potential to destroy my hard work. I hope not to fall prey to that nasty beast!

I thanks to everyone who supports and follows me. It makes going much easier! We had the first salad from the garden today, ARUGULA, DILL, YOUNG BRAISING GREENS, cilantro, leaf lettuce. I mixed it with some beets I had processed last summer, black berries and oil S&P. We had salmon....yum!

Well, what goes down goes up again? Hmm, it was fun, now I think it’s time to evaluate what is necessary for a good time. I was at a fabulous yoga retreat for three days, stayed on Keto and was proud of myself! Then I went to NYC to party with old friends. I started strong, but it was serious pier pressure and I succumbed. Of note- my friend lost 45#!! Her son is getting married this summer. She is looking good, yahoo for her. We aren’t goi g to the wedding;( The next event was my daughter leaving for two months to walk the Camino.again I could have been strong, but I wasn’t.
Today, back on the bus headed for the 100’s,! I’m within reach by the end of summer, the latest. I got this, I’m sure. The next challenge is the end of June— bread baking class for a week. That will be a challenge. I must be strong. It included sour dough,artisan, empanadas, and rye. My husband loves bread.... July also has an excursion. I think I will try to miss most of it, I’m not sure. How do all of you stay in the zone when faced with socialization?

Boy I had fun Saturday night. The wine was superb! I need to be serious about weight loss though , since I believe wine will always be around. This weekend is a big yoga retreat, followed by 4 days of party with friends. I will do my best, that’s all I can say!
