I have decided to eat nutritious foods, well balanced meals, and avoid processed things (ie lean pockets, chips, dips). For breakfast today I had a half an english muffin with peanut butter and about half a cup of strawberry yogurt. I took an apple as a snack. I am shocked at how I am actually satisfactorily full. Normally I have a breakfast sandwich with cheese and egg, breakfast potatoes, and apple sauce with sugar added, and I am craving food an hour later (not to mention I have consumed at least 700 calories). This morning, since my food log won't record the half portions, the most calories I had were about 350. I am in English class right now. After class I am going to the gym to use the elliptical (and get some reading done, yay for multi-tasking) and do some toning weights. After that I will go grab some lunch a half cup of tuna on field greens sounds really good. Then it is off to do homework. Tonight after my meeting I will be heading to the gym again for an hour of swimming! It feels good to be active, and having this weight-loss goal is really giving me purpose.

Hmm day one. Well not really. Since I guess technically I have been trying to lose weight for two years now. But today is the day that I recognize how serious it is that I lose weight. I have a group of friends who are doing this with me so hopefully my motivation will remain high, that and I really really want to be able to wear a bikini while working at summer camp this year. So far today I have had NO food which is bad because I am supposed to eat 1900 calories a day...and I am going to work out. I should go get some food at some point.
