It's been 1 full week since I've been placed on Blood Pressure Meds and it's been 1 week since I've been told that I've got diabetes. My Glycated hemoglobin (A1C) test was a 7.9. So far the only meds I'm taking is BP meds and I go back on 3/4 to get tested again.

I'm watching my carbs and sugars and thinking of the old adage... Eat now, pay later. Well later has come home to roost!

The best things is that my BP has dropped from 178/88 to 120/73 so at least we know that is working.

I work a sedentary job so during my lunch hours I've been taking nice walks. Right now going to a gym is not an option so I'm trying to get more exercise on my own.

Hopefully on 3-4, I'll get better news and that the blood sugars are down.

Went to lunch with some friends and I realized that I can still eat out and not blow the dieting. Had a salad with grill chicken and much less dressing. Had the lite italian dressing and only had about 2 Tbls.
