Well, day 1, kind of. I started a few weeks ago writing down what I eat and now I am going to continue doing that, along with keeping track of calories.
I was going to see a nutrionist a week from now, just to ask a few questions. This is just a consultation though so it is free and after that I will have to pay. Not sure if it's worth it though; $60 a month?? We'll see how she is though.
I used the FatSecret app on my android for a couple of days a few months ago and liked it but I just found out that it was a website today. I think this might make it easier for me now.
I haven't really had a chance to look around but from what I have seen, I really like it.
So I completely over ate yesterday. It was gross.
But today is another day and I am prepared to make this work.
My goal is to lose a steady pound a week and hope to be 40 - 45 pounds lighter by the end of the year.
Right now, I think it's going to be really tough. I was born with hypothyroidism, which slows down my metabolism significantly. I need to find ways to increase it.
I work a desk job. I am taking a night course two nights a week. I have another job on the side doing books, which I do one night a week. Not sure when I'm going to find the time to fit in a work out. Mornings would probably be best but I just can't find the motivation to get up and go.
But I'll start with this diet and see where this gets me. I've set myself to 1800 calories a day and hope to slowly decrease that over time, assuming I lose weight.
I apologize for all the rambling. Just trying to empty out my brain and this is what happened.
If anyone has hypothyroidism, please let me know any tips you may have.
