I'm going to blame stress as the reason for my gain. Honestly too much hurricane food and too many relaxing days off and not doing the diary. All me, but I'm back on the wagon again and looking to stay on for awhile.

I survived Ian. I am truly grateful and I was not in the heart of it. All of my friends and family in Northport and parts south of me are ok too. I only lost my power for 17 hours but that was plenty for me. I was too scared to eat. My little 6 year old Chihuhua rescue, named Penny, that came to live with me last week saved me. We huddled together, sometimes under the covers, listening to the wind howling and things crashing around outside. Someone's roof blew off and landed nearby in a neighbors yard and several carports bit the dust. I had an emergency radio I could listen to and lots of battery operated lights but it was so dark. I can chalk this up to one experience I never want to repeat. But, I know I am very blessed to be so lucky. Note, Penny came to me the day after my very dear Cat Friend Merlin passed away at the age of 21 years and 4 months. He truly lived all of his 9 lives.
