Ok, this is halfway through my 8th week on Jenny Craig and thanks to some of the amazing posters (YAY Glen and Val among others!) on the JC forums, I have discovered FatSecret.com. I am rededicating myself to this program and I am going to commit myself to entering my food and exercise daily to better track what I am doing and how I am changing my life for the better. I have also decided to give up Diet Soda ( I gave up regular soda when I joined Jenny) and have resolved to drinking the occasional tea and coffee (not a real coffee drinker), and to drink LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER, even if some of the water contains crystal light for now. The goal is to eventually change my mindset into thinking that thirsty means drinking water and being most content to do so. That has been one of the things that has challenged me on this program is that I don't drink water, and having the convenience of a can of diet soda in the fridge has just gotten to the point where I forget to drink the water that my body so desperately needs. While I know this will not be easy, I have decided to say fuck it and do it anyway since that is what needs to be done. No more tweaking the program so I can have this or that because I don't feel like eating what I should be eating or I think I'm hungry and craving something that is off program. It is all mental, and one of the great things about your mind is the ability to change it. So here's to a new commitment to follow the program, to cut out diet soda and thus reduce my sodium intake by leaps and bounds, and to improving my health and happiness. =D
