Well FS friends, it seems as though I have hit a plateau of sorts. I have lost (in total, including a few pounds before joining here) about 24 pounds. For the last couple of weeks it seems as though I keep dropping and gaining the same three pounds on a daily basis. It doesn't seem to matter what I eat or how much I exercise. I've had days well below my RDI where I KNOW I burned upwards of 700 calories for exercise, and then days where I have eaten much more, but it's weird. I will weigh in one day and be down to 161, then the next day 163 then the next back to 161 or 160, over and over and over. I just can't seem to break this last few pounds to get into the 160's. I stopped drinking wine and beer for a few weeks to see if that changed anything, and honestly...it didn't really. Now, I'm sure some of you may look at my food journal and try to go off of that, but honestly, it's not always accurate because some of the things I eat aren't in here so I substitute for things with the same calories or whatever. I'm not really complaining per se, I know everyone hits a plateau at some point, I just find it a little irritating I guess. I am going to amp up my exercise and try eating a little cleaner. Well, I guess a second cheat day took it's toll. I don't care though, it was worth it! I had a lovely day in Vermont with beautiful scenery, good food and great company. I am rejuvenated and ready to get back at it! Happy Wednesday friends :)

Good Monday morning friends! It's a better day. Last night's relaxation and food and wine therapy did the trick, feeling ready to take on the world again. It's funny, I drank a whole bottle of wine and indulged in half a sleeve of ritz crackers with cream cheese and homemade pepper jelly, and then woke up to the scale showing a loss of that unwelcome 3 pounds plus some! Go figure...pig out and lose weight :) BUT really, I think it was just stress and maybe I just needed to create a little body confusion. Anyway, hope everyone has a great week! Official weigh in tomorrow, so we will see what happens.

So, I have decided to have a cheat day today. Not worrying about everything just enjoying the day. I had BBQ pork loin that I smoked all morning, pasta salad, and I am going to take a VERY long bubble bath in my whirlpool tub tonight and have a bottle of wine. It has been a very stressful couple of days. Work issues and family issues and I have felt very stressed and overwhelmed. I did a ton of exercise this past week and stayed well below my RDI and ate well, and yet the scale said I gained 3 pounds today. It's not my weigh in day so I haven't recorded it, but honestly I don't think it is diet related, but STRESS related. I need a day to just sit back an relax and enjoy life. I might get in some jump roping later, but other than that...it's going to be a low key kind of day. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
