37 (that clock just won't slow down dammit), lives in northern Michigan (I feed birds in my backyard and could actually make snow "steps" to get to my feeder because that's how much freakin snow we have. I work as a housekeeper in a hotel but wants an actual career. tried college couldn't find what I wanted still unsure. Love Birds. Really, I feed them, have a bird house (plus bird bath in the warmer months) I knit, read, I love cartoons (yes I realize this is probably ridiculous to most adults but I find it stress relieving). I've been gaining weight steadily since I was born (I have a chronic digestive disorder that has never been dealt with (aka: poor, no health insurance; lack of good doctors available). I'm hoping to get it figured out once I get insurance. I have a truck for winter (chevy 1500) and a cobalt for summer. I adore Supernatural Tv show and love muscle cars. I will have a muscle car someday, somehow, someway I will get my muscle car. Let's see.... I have 4 cats (but love all animals) and take care of a stray that comes by for snuggles and food. I'm also totally addicted to coffee. mmm coffee.. I like Twilight Zone, Star Trek Next Gen, and have every season of The Simpsons on DVD. That should be enough for now. Toodles!

atkins
Sugar alcohols can affect different people in different amounts. Some people (and I know some) are extremely sensitive to sugar alcohols and cannot eat them at all. Other people like myself can tolerate them within reason (also applies to dairy for me, small portions of cheese and plain nonfat greek yogurt) So it depends on the individual. I have non dairy sugar free coffee creamer but I have small doses in only two cups of coffee a day so it's no big deal for me.

New to Atkins...
I like the Atkins shakes. I have an Atkins shake or bar every morning and two cups of coffee. I'm not a big breakfast person so that's better than nothing.
