Well you'd all be proud...

I absolutely agree that pizza can be a good choice. Especially if it is homemade where you have control of what is on the pizza. I used to eat pizza till it was gone, or save a piece to eat cold for breakfast. Now, I make it myself using a homemade crust, adding some Italian herbs and a little garlic to the dough. Then I am careful not to overload with a lot of meat, I replace some of it with extra mushrooms. Then, I use the part skim mozzarella, again not overloading it. Always some nice flavorful, nutrient packed vegies. I limit myself to 2 pieces and eat some raw vegies along with it. It makes for a great healthy, guiltfree meal.
This is how I also do it.

My view on: SALAD DRESSINGS
I eat salads almost every day. Through trial and error,I have come to the same conclusion. I only have so many days left on this planet. I am going to have 1,000 island dressing on my salad. I have fit it into a realistic meal plan. It is a huge reward to me for eating healthy. I do measure the amount I use, unlike before. No food should be off-limits. Use it as a part of a realistic meal plan. When nothing is off-limits,everything is a victory. When I am in a restaurant,I see utltra-thin people getting into a big huff over the politically-correct,fat-free,flavor-free,sugar-free,invisible,oil-free,dressing for their salad. It always makes me laugh as I enjoy the delicious taste of that 1,000 island dressing. Life is good. It is meant to be. it is not meant to be a constant battle between us and the food we eat. Choose wisely, and enjoy, enjoy. It will be over before we know it.

How Much Weight Did You Lose Before Everyone Else Noticed?
My daughter, the nutrition counselor, says the main reason people can't lose weight is that they are stuck in their "poop".(I cleaned that up for the forum) The "poop" she is talking about are the issues, mostly psychological, that we all have, that made, and keep us overweight. Until we honestly deal with those issues,"poop",we are kept in bondage. The main reason people don't notice when we drop several sizes of clothes, etc.,is because THEY are so stuck in their own "poop",they don't notice anything outside of themselves. This has been my journey. Hope this helps.

Guys between about 250 and 300
Hey Brother,I went from 340 to 300. I seem to be stuck there. How old are you? Reason I ask is,if you are older than 30,I don't think you're goal weight is realistic. It's more important about looking good, feeling good, and being at a comfortable size, than numbers on a scale. At 300 lbs.,I wear an xl t-shirt,dress shirt, and 46 jeans. That is a whole lot better than 40 lbs. ago. Not here to kill your dream, just trying to be helpful....
