A New Year, a new challenge.
Okay, I really need to get on board with this weight loss thing!
Things that I am going to do to help reach my goal of 50 lbs gone by 11/11.
1) Record all eating into this journal.
2) I joined a weight loss challenge at work.
3) I joined a Medfit program through my Dr's office.
4) I will join a auxillary gym to suppliement the Medfit program.
5) I will not allow myself to get too hungry.
6) When really craving something, rather than feeling "punished" because I should not eat it, I will work out a little more so that I can, indeed have it, and not feel so guilty!

I did pretty good until Sunday. I had a blowout. I didn't get to eat until late and that was a really bad idea. My willpower went flush. I counted as many calories as I could find. In other words, my intake is pretty close. I am back on track today. My stomach has been a little upset from the heavy foods yesterday, but that should be a lesson learned.
I got a very pretty swimsuit over the weekend and that will help me keep on track. I don't want to outgrow it. NEXT year at swim season, I want to be shopping in the Misses dept instead of the Women's!

@ work
I started this @ home 7/5/10 at 10pm. I didn't get on the scale, I just estimated, thinking I could edit later. Well, to my surprise I under estimated and now cannot edit. So it looks like I gained 8 lbs overnite. I think I should use the scale at work on a continuing basis. This program requires you weigh in every day, so I will not have a reading on the weekends.
My hope is that making myself enter what I eat and what I do for exercise into this program will make me more aware of my "doings" and "undoings". I like that it actually gives you credit for just basically breathing. We often forget that it does require energy just to exist. The heavier we are, the more energy it takes which will be good in the beginning.
I've got a long way to go before I reach my first goal of 180. As of today, 46 lbs to be exact. Maybe I should have put in a lower goal to begin with.
