Yesterday was our monthly b-day party/ potluck at work. of course, people always bring in non-healthy dishes. I try to persuade them to bring in healthier versions or choices, but oh well. I brought in the veggie tray full of broccoli, cauliflower, jicama, carrot sticks and celery. Turns out the only thing I ate out of the pot luck was my own veggie tray! I didn't use the ranch dip that it came with, instead I used 2 tbs of hummus... YUMMY and healthy!! I was full and satisfied! Also, knowing that they would have birthday cake, I planned ahead and brought weight watchers large creamsicles, they are so good and only 2 points!! YEAH ME! I went to the movies with my friends afterwork and saw The Backup plan. It was cute! But we went to the theater that has drinks and food while you watch the movie. Unfortunately I didn't have time to prep before the movie (I planned to eat dinner ahead of time and have some celery sticks w/ laughing cow cheese) but since I was outta time and hungry, I ordered the best I could. Got a turkey burger, not sure of the nutrition content but I selected a burger that sounded similar, and oh my, more calories and points then I thought. If I would have known I wouldn't of eaten those sweet potatoe fries (will order no fries next time or see if they will subsitute fruit of something! Still, not a bad day!!

So proud of myself! Yesterday we had a client come into town who bought us all mexican food that was delivered into our office. I sat with everyone in the lunchroom and ate my lunch I brought in from home. I was proud of myself! I got a few glares and smerks, but who cares what they think or if they are jealous that I have the will power or the determination to stick with my goals. Then the client also took us out to a nice dinner. We went to a seafood restuarant, and prior to going I looked up their menu and had two choices in mind (in case my first choice was unavailable, I did't want to be forced to make an unprepared decision). I ordered the cedar plank salmon w/ steamed asparagus (of course, I ordered it to be cooked withou sauce or butter and ordered sauce on side, but didn't use it). Everyone ate bread and appetizers, and I just stuck to my plan and drank water and socialized!! Normally bread is my huge weakness (along with mexican food so YEA ME!! I can do this, I now know I can!!
