Definitely a plateau, but thanks to a badly pulled muscle I haven't been able to go for a run for more than a week now, might try again today. On a different note, holy extra skin Batman!!! I had been wearing my 38 inch waist shorts abet with a belt, but I guess I haven't done laundry in a few days so today I had to pull an old pair of 34's out, which fit, and that's nice, but I seem to have a "muffin top" of skin now - looks pretty funny, but all good... my experience with that is about a year and it'll look normal.

Well, this is starting to look like another plateau - oh well. I'm shooting for 180 by Sept 12th (2 1/2 week vacation camping across the US) it's fine if I don't get to 180 but without knowing how well I'm going to be able to stick to this diet on my trip I'd rather limit the damage by doing as much as I can now.
I am happy with the results so far. I tried other diets and they don't do anything for me, keto did. I won't say keto would work for everyone because I think it has more to do with whatever your "default" insulin level is than anything else. I also think, while it might be possible to change that insulin "default" level, it would require a whole different plan of attack.
I might try intermittent fasting but only if I stay in this 190-193 range for awhile, if this is just a temporary plateau so be it... no need to add that yet, although I'm thinking of trying it just to see what the results would be. It's supposed to be better for sleeping, brain function, fat burning, etc.
I will say I've lost a good deal of muscle that I'm not happy about, but that simply means I need to workout more and I know that probably means putting on weight but muscle weight is fine with me. I used to workout nearly everyday but the last few years I've not been. Might be time to start focusing on that more.
I have a dr appt today, what's funny is the last time I went to the dr (probably 4 years ago) I was around 180, they'd probably have freaked out a bit if I still weighed 230, now it's more of a "normal" weight gain for my age. I'm sure they'll say I could stand to lose some weight but not anything like it would have been 3-4 months ago.
