weigh in
i've always weighed myself once a week but have started checking daily just to see how much my weight fluctuates... i'm hoping to see a pattern so i can see where i need more work w/tracking or exercise... i only count my wednesday weigh-in as the official number though... i believe it really depends on the person - some can't handle seeing their weight go up/down but me, i know its a natural thing...

Spinning Classes
i think you need to try different spin classes because when you find a good instructor, they will have better music, and keep you motivated... i had a sub on my saturday class and you could tell he was new and not very good, but i stayed because its a good workout regardless...
if you're worried about your knees though, i would suggest trying the eliptical - its much gentler and you can adjust how easy/hard to make your workout...
