Thanks Clueless, Ill have a look at that website - thesa good luck with your weight loss, unfortunately I cant exercise much at the moment I broke my leg approx 3 months ago and needed surgery, back to walking and swimming now but it will take a while to heal completely, I put on weight whilst disabled but really thought doing strict atkins would work
very despondent.

Thanks for your replies, have only just got onto this website but alcohol roughly once fortnight only! Yes drink lots of water. Strictly phase 1 atkins so max 20carbs daily brekkie 1 egg with either sardines or bacon, egg salad and tuna for lunch with mayo, dinner strictly broccoli/cauli with protein, or spag bol. Completely cut out pasta, spuds, rice all my faves. Im also over 50 and need to lose about 6-7 kg

So frustrated! Ive been on atkins for two months and lost about 1kg! Im abiding by all thecrules, my hubby has lost 12kg! I do have underactive thyroid but hoping that someone out there has some good advice for me?
