Hello all. I started the Keto diet on Jan 11, 2019. I am combining the diet with intermittent fasting between 16:8 and 22:2 depending on the day, doing 1 meal a day with snacks allowed within my window. I also lower my calories, protein and fat content about twice a week by eating Chef salad, or other vegetable heavy meal, while keeping my total carbs under 12. So far it's working. I'm down 12 pounds in my first month.

Make sure you have you electrolyte requirements met. Sodium, magnesium, and potassium. When they are out of whack anything can happen. I take an electrolyte supplement with vitamin D. It helped me tremendously. Adjusting to a low car diet will make you feel bad for awhile but should pass in 3-5 days if you are getting your electrolytes in. Don't stop keep going! You will feel a lot better than you ever did in no time. 😊

Hello! and a favor to ask
If you must, I found a low carb cream cheese pound cake recipe on Pintrest that was really yummy. I had a few pieces then put a few in the freezer for another time. My kid ate the rest. He loved it too, and he's one of those 34 yr. olds that can't gain weight to save his life. If you don't bake, maybe you can enlist the help of a mother, sister, or friend. My guess is that they would love to help you out! 😊

Saving calories
My keto app has a banked calorie piggy bank set up for just this purpose. What I found was that using these calories on carb loded meals bumps me back up a few pounds, but worse than that puts a stall in my slow but steady weight loss. My advice is, if you use those 'banked' calories, do it with low carb options. 😃
