Did pretty well yesterday, though I still am confused about how the calories I consume in a day give me the result I want on the scale the next day. It appears that what I eat matters more than how much I eat. For instance, two days ago I had dessert w/every meal, including breakfast. I went over the calories I expended that day by about 500 (oops!) and gained 0.5 pounds. However, yesterday I skipped the desserts (for the most part, a few small candies here and there), but consumed only 500 calories less than the previous day and lost 1 lb. Today I plan on acting similar to yesterday (though this is my rest day as far as my exercise goes) so we'll see what tomorrow brings. Perhaps my scale isn't accurate enough and/or other things are factoring in - though I way myself at the same time every morning.

Oh yeah - not the huge increase in my weight history chart on the right - this was a brief hiatus to San Francisco. No self control in other cities. Makes me nervous for China...
