I thought my days off at home alone would be the hardest, but it turns out they are the easiest to stay focused. I emotionally eat, eat when I'm bored, drink when I'm mad, etc. It is a ton easier to keep that stuff in check when I'm home alone.
I also thought working nights would be bad for my caloric intake, but I realized I pack fairly healthy sack lunches and am able to stick to it when the influence of others is around me. This past weekend at home we had my daughter's birthday party, for which we had sheet cake and ice cream... ouch! I made myself go for a jog after supper that night! I still only when over my RDI by 115 calories, I think.
I am going to clean this house out of leftover Valentine's and Easter candy, birthday treats, sweets and baked goods. Only diet pop (I'm not ready to give it up totally yet) and no more coffee shop coffee drinks. My getting healthier is going to rub off on my family I hope.
