Although my weight has gone up a couple of kg. I doubt it will stay there. I have walked 20km this week and will do so until November or so. That should bring my weight and cholesterol down. I have decided to change my diet a little bit. Instead of fish, I will have a healthy night instead. This gives me a little flexibility in my choices... and I was getting sick of fish. Tonight is chicken, baked chicken. But what to have with it??

I weighed myself today and am down to 92.3kg. Hopefully my cholesterol is going in the same direction.

Well it has been almost 3 weeks. I am not sure if I have lost any weight since I last weighed in( 3 weeks ago), but I feel fantastic! I don't know why I didn't make this change years ago. Out of 21 meals in a week, I only eat meat for 3. The rest are fruit and leafy greens. O.k. I admit it, when I have to eat vegetables I like them with sour cream dip... gotta make em' taste good. HAHA. I have also been active. I have been walking every nice day there has been in the last two weeks. And I have decided to have a small garden this year.

Day two and so far so good. I ate healthy all day and feel fantastic about it. I went for my walk around the block with the dog. I took a guess when I weighed in yesterday. I figured I was around 220lbs, which is 100kg. It turns out I only weigh 212lbs. At any rate I hope to get down to 80kg. How long it takes isn't really an issue, although the high cholesterol could take me out at any moment. But I am not going to worry about it. If it is my time then...

Hello! I am 39 years old and just found out that I could be walking straight into a heart attack, my cholesterol is so high. I thought that I was eating so healthy. Lots of stews and steaks. But my activity level was practically zero. SO I am making a lifestyle change! I will eat healthy foods for every meal and I have already begun my walking regimen today. I hope that I can have an impact on my chol. levels before I get put on this or that medication. Or even worse, I end up with diabetes and/or high blood pressure.
