Been in hospital & rehab for almost 3 months now...an infection in the left thigh led to a fall on the right side & a severe back strain. Have been in rehab learning to walk again..expecting to be discharged in about a week. Have lost 49 pounds so far (537 down to 488) goal weight is 350. Using a walker but mobile for short distances. Diet/eating plan..well, it's a combination of several plans..primarily it's high protein, high fiber..NO breads, sugar, sweets or processed foods. Nearly everything we'll (wife & I) will be eating I'll make from scratch. NEED the accountability, information & planning this site affords me.

Am 50 yrs old...and in a very real way, beginning my life over again. Committed to find out who I can & will be at 350 pounds. Miss puddle-jumping with my wife...but will be doing that again soon.
