Day 4 of my journey. I'm glad I found this website. I have read a few journals and some are very inspiring. I know I can do this. I can feel it. Something I have never felt before. Especially putting it on paper. Started my Yoga classes again the other day. I am having to scrimp for the money but hey... I have spent it on everyone else for the last 35 years I think I deserve some of it for me now or I will never get back to what I want to be. A healthy person. More later, maybe tomorrow.

I have been over weight since I was had my first child at 17. I have gradually gained approx. 115 lbs. in the last 40 years. I have gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesteral. I take medications for these and maintain good numbers. EXCEPT...my weight. I went on the atkins diet fifteen years ago and lost 30 lbs. but gained it back and then some. I have been on every diet known to man or (woman). Always loose but gain back twice as much. I finally quite dieting and have maintain the 205 for the last year. But... I don't feel healthy at all. I am going back on Atkins since it't the only diet that really helped that much. I will need to prepare myself for the maintance in about a year. It will be hard but I can do it. Diet and Maintance.
