Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've been here. So much has happened. And weight is the last thing on my mind, although it's coming off I can see that but not because I'm dieting. I am battling to eat. You see, in December I lost my precious hubby to a sudden and fatal heart attack. I am devastated. Yes, I know this isn't a grief group, but it's a support group and we've been there for each other. Anyway, the issue of weight wanes in the presence of grief and such loss. You gain perspective on what really matters. Loving those around you like today is the last. You see, he went for his normal walk, and I thought I'd see him again when he got back. But he didn't. He passed away in the street. I never got to see him again. Can never hold him, he can never hold me again. He can never see his beautiful daughter grow up. She just turned 12. Yes, weight matters and feeling good about oneself matters. But at this point, nothing really matters because what mattered is now gone. I am devastated. And trying to cope with carrying on when it feels like my heart left with him. I loved him for 32 years and now he's gone... forever! So dear friends, weight matters, but your loved ones matter more. Take care of them and yourself and lose weight if it makes you more healthier, but don't let losing weight become an obsession. Take care dear friends! Every day is precious with your precious ones!
