I have been trying to get back into shape for over 10 years. I used to be a gym rat. The tag in my truck said "NTHEGYM"! I am not sure what happened but, I could never get it together after I fell off the wagon. In a last ditch effort I started Crossfit for 6 months in August 2014! I took 3-5 classes every week. I didn't lose a pound! Finally, last year I went to my doctor and asked to be prescribed BELVIQ. I began taking the drug on June 4, 2015. I lost 14 lbs my first month without exercise. My beginning weight was 267 lbs. I continued to lose weight for 6 months and got down to 217 lbs. Then I noticed that the weight loss had stopped even though I was still on the drug. I realized that I could not rely on a weight loss drug for the rest of my life so I stopped taking BELVIQ. BELVIQ taught me that I was eating entirely too much food. I was afraid after I stopped taking the drug my appetite would go back to the way it was but, it didn't. I understood that I had a eating disorder and that when I felt any type of emotion I used food to treat myself. I understood that my life has to be organized and that my diet has to a plan of action. I no longer "wing it" when it comes to my eating. Now I know exactly what I am going to eat and when I am going to eat it. I weighed in this past Monday morning at 219 lbs. I hope to reach my goal of 190 lbs in 90 days.
