so what are u able to eat on the atkins diet
The beauty of Atkins, and what attracted me to it in the first place, is that as long as you read the book and follow the guidelines and dont overdo your portions, you can lose weight pretty steadily without counting calories. The other MAJOR plus, for me, is that on Atkins I can eat wonderful, satisfying foods and not feel hungry between meals. With Calorie counting, i am forever hungry! And once the calories are all gone for the day....well theyre just gone! I suppose you could count calories, making wise choices to pick foods that are more filling (like Atkins friendly foods), but for me, counting calories is just too time consuming.

I must agree with Spacey47 on the New Atkins For a New You though. They have added some things in there that werent in the original book by Dr. Atkins....most likely all for the sake of money. The original plan worked effectively. No need to change it. I recommend the regular Atkins Diet book if your going to try low-carb dieting. And always move quickly through the rungs so you can add in vital nutrients such as fruit that are missing on induction the first 2 weeks.
