Today is 03/18/11 and I am yet again trying another diet, the Atkins Diet. I have been a yo-yo dieter for years and the results are always the same, I gain the weight back. I believed I just needed to do whatever to lose the weight and then go back to my same eating habits. I finally realized that it has to be a life style change not a seasonal thing. I finally had put my mind into action and started going to this weight doctor and worked really hard by going to the gym and keeping a food journal. The journal helped me keep track of what I was eating everyday along with how many calories I was taken in. Unfortunately, I only lost 1lb and gained it back. I was totally devastated and gave up. I felt all that hard work was for nothing. Then I realized that although I was eating only 1500 calories per day, the foods I consumed was keeping my glucose level high halting my body to burn fat. So now I am trying the Atkins diet which will train my body to burn fat while also lowering my glucose level. I am excited about this journey because I truly believe it will work this time. Along with the Atkins diet, I believe this site will help me keep track of my net carbs. I will not accept defeat in losing weight. It will be a challenge at first but I believe it will get easier as the weeks go by. Wish me luck!
