ok here i go, new to fs been working on weight issues for over 2 yrs. been to a couple different nutritionist, a couple different specialists, some ol speech, gotta eat more calories ( was around 12 to 1500 a day ) suggested i eat 2000 to 2500, gained alot of weight , oh gotta eat less calories, went down to 1500 calories and no change. im 6'1 420 lbs now, had a nasty bout with covid early last year. 2020, where i worked we did yearly blood work for health screening 2 times a year. i was 325 - to 340 lbs, a1c was 5.4 to 5.7 each time for many years consistently, last a1c was 5.9 march 2020, then covid hit me hard put me on my butt , in july still sick but doing as i can, lost job. went to dr. to see what was up and a1c was 10. something . have been through 2 rounds of pulmonary rehab, lung function as well as other lung tests, and lots of blood work, pancreas is shot, on basaglar. jardiance and admelog sliding scale, metabolism was tested and my base should be 2500 plus to maintain, been doing 1200 or less cal. for 6 mths and no changes, protein is 100 plus, carbs is 60 or less, fat is 30 or less, all per day, i walk as lungs allow, i eat 2 x a day 400 cal meals, and drink a whey protein shake with green tea that we make here at home with cinnamon stick in coffee maker while brewing, protein shake is 1 scoop, 16 oz green tea, 1 tbspn cinnamon, 1/2 to 3/4 cup frozen blueberries natural, no added sugar , very little carbs, i get alot of antioxidants and anti inflammatory foods. love raw veggies. and low carb low sugar fruits, my added sugar intake is 0 just whats in foods naturally and i dont eat sweets, saw an endocrinologist and he has me down to a 30 day avg of 138 according to my free style meter, which is an a1c in low 6's been seeing him since late june , sugar readings were 180 plus after 14 hour fast. now their at 90 to 95 after 12 fast, as of 2 weeks ago didnt need admelog anymore, doing single dose of 64 basaglar and jardiance 1 x a day, still checking 4 or more x a day. still cant seem to budge weight, ive read on here how people are dumping 2 and 3 even 4 lbs a week, my hats off to you all,, any ideas for me, thank you in advance
