Started out on March 6 at 196lbs..heaviest I've ever been..for a 5'9" guy. I am pretty active,, stand up paddle about 4 out of 7 days..walk 2 miles the days I don't Stand Up Paddle..had a heart attack while surfing..felt like an elephant sitting on my chest..paddled in from the surf..my son who was surfing with me drove me to the ER and they said I had a blockage in one of my arteries..Put a stent in. I had a Cholestrol of 200, fairly normal blood pressure..I was out in 2 days..THEN I changed my food intake 100%..Nothing but fruits and lightly steamed vegetables ( keep the crunch) and add sardines in water every 3rd day ..oatmeal in the am..small portions..juicing every day..carrot, apple, spinach, beets and ginger...no dairy, bread, meat, cheese etc. 3 weeks later I have lost 13 lbs..cholestrol is 175, perfect blood pressure and blood sugar. I feel really good. This diet is awesome..if I stray I have a plain rye vita cracker with sliced tomato.
