Got curious today about fat and protein intake. Was wondering what mine should be. I did a search and found this site:

My info
44 yrs old, 5' 11 3/4", Male, sedentary to light exercise (this will change over the next month). I had to use the 6' 0" selection with a medium build.
It said my fat intake should be 73 grams and my protein intake should be 89 grams. Does this sound right?

Found out I had to remove gluten, wheat, barley from my diet. There were numerous other things that I found out were impeding my metabolism, etc. I have been a diabetic for 34 years, and am now 44 yrs old. I got old and fat in a hurry. I was 234 Nov '11 and now I am down to 216 as of June 26, 2012. Slow, slow process for diabetics on a pump. Not bad, just takes me and others longer. Trying to cut my carb intake down to 30 to 40 per meal or 120 a day. I am at 143 avg on my pump.
Since I have cut gluten, my digestion blood glucose, have improved. Insulin usage went from 75 to 80 units a day down to 57 to 62 units a day.
