On Aug 1st 2009 I became a mother, to a beautiful baby girl named Abigail Joy. As a result I inherited the mother body, before I became pregnant and I had just met my husband to be, I was 130 pounds active and full of energy. I used to dress up every single day to work, my outfits were matching from my heels right down to the purse. My pregnancy diet consisted of Taco Bell, bean burritos, burgers and pizza. I stopped going to the gym every day and only stopped by 2 to 1 times a week. I went from running, doing crutches, climbing mountains to simply walking 30 mins on the elliptical machine. By FEB 2009 I was already about 150 and I was only 3 months along. Once I had Abby I had to wait 6 weeks pp in order to start working out. Since I was breast feeding (rather pumping) I felt hungry all the time it was as though I had never given birth and was still having a lot of cravings. Going back to July 30th 2 days before I had Abby I weighed in at 186 at Dr Carter's office. Once I had Abby I weighed 168, today I weigh 177. After several unsuccessful attempts at losing weight trying all kinds of diets, drinks and self discipline I have chosen to hold myself accountable and work out 5 times a week, cut out all sugar, bring my own lunch to work, and minimize my portions! For me losing weight is not just a desire, it is something that is crucial to my own well being, my health depends on it! I also feel so ashamed about my weight I HATE taking pictures of myself which is really odd because previously I dreamed of one day modeling and would have my own mini photo shoots with my camera. Now, it is not all about me, I have a husband to satisfy and a baby girl who will one day look up to me and will be inclined to shadow my behavior and eating habits. I am fully committed to this challenge as a I have my sister's wedding to look forward to on Aug 27th and a High School 10 year reunion.

Today I went to the gym and sat in the steam room for 10min then ran 2.01 miles in 31:41min (I did some walking)
