Well, not exactly a great start, but a pound won't hurt. Had a great meal last night so that probably counts for the one pound increase. Will have to remember 'portion control'. needless to say I won't be starting the 1 week fast today. That will have to wait a couple of days. Might start it next Monday and run it for the week. I will be sticking to the 'no food after 8pm' commitment though. So here's to a better weigh-in tomorrow morning.

So today is my first day of signing up for Fatsecret.com. Recorded my weight. Joined the challenge for a 1 week fast of only water. Will be spending that week in prayer and fasting. This whole thing for me is about more than just weight loss, it's about a spiritual fitness level. I hope to not only reach my goal weight of 170 lbs, but also at the same time strive to achieve a deeper spiritual relationship with Christ and a more self-disciplined lifestyle. And in the end I pray that all of this benefits my wife and son even more than it will benefit me. So here we go! I'll down one final soda this evening, one final good meal for dinner and then no food after 8pm.
