Seems to be the only one that works
I've tried calorie counting and other methods, but Atkins seems to be the one that works for me. Back in 2003 I had ballooned up to 221 from 180 due to a lot of major negative things happening in my life and I ate as compensation. 6 months later, with half of that on induction, I dropped to 167. My ideal range should be 163-175 given my age, body type etc.
Well fast forward to 2007 and due to a strange work schedule and poor eating habits, I found myself at 207 after bouncing from 180-195 most of the last 2 years. Started Atkins on 8/15 and now, 60 days later am at 189, staying on induction the first 6 weeks.
Not every person responds well to every diet, and maybe only to one. Even then each person IMO has to modify it to meet their own unique needs as long as it doesn't hurt them or run counter to the main principles of the diet.
I have 27 more to go, but for those that are struggling, hang in there, this works....you may just need to modify your habits, read labels better or just buckle down some more willpower wise...
Good luck!
