I woke up sick today and planned on staying in bed with my humidifier and medicines all day but at 3pm I got a call that dragged me from my sick bed.. My 17 year old son was riding his skateboard and was hit by a pickup truck.. well he "darted" out into the road, the truck swerved to miss him, unfortunately the boat trailer he was pulling didnt get that memo in time as it swung around and hit my son.. a "tib/fib" fracture, clear out the skin, doctor spent an extra half hour cleaning asphalt out of my sons bone before he could set it and insert a titanium rod. after they get his leg in check they will concentrate on his two broken fingers; but for now they want to save his foot and concentrate on the liquid in his belly that showed up on his cat scan. when I left tonight he was out of surgery and had his pain under control, he was awake and aware; but still confused.

I didnt eat anything all day other than 2 "cheesy egg burritos" my husband made for breakfast, but I drank more than a gallon of water and I have adrenaline keeping me going right now... I had to drive 100 miles to the hospital and 100 miles home to bring my other sons friend home and pick my girls up, but we're heading back up in the morning.. I'll make sure to try to pack a healthy snack for me. I will see about numbers when my son is home, but until them please excuse my lack of concern about the numbers... I will continue to log to form my habit, and I will have more time tomorrow to connect body bugg and check it all out

Today my whole family took off out of town to do some Geo Caching.. it ended up being a long out of control walk, but it was amazing!! I realized how much of an impact my words have on my kids as they started griping and picking out all of the unpleasant attributes of the journey, so I decided it is up to me to change my contribution.. I started pointing out all of the "pluses" and the whole day turned right around.. we walked over 6 miles, 2 solid hours of rough terrain, hills, rocks, snakes, weeds, sticker bushes, lake shore, blue algae, .. and allergies.. wow.. but we did it together, we stayed strong and I have to give MAD PROPS to my 8 year old who took every single step on her own.. that girl is my HERO.. and my 6 year old only got carried when the weeds were taller than her or the shoreline was a little too giving. She also did Fantastic today.. so SRL & MRL; you two are beyond Phenomenal!!Thank you for keeping me going today... now my 16 year old who doesn't 'walk' anywhere was our scout... he ran ahead, climbed rock faces, he was all out kickin butt! I am impressed with my family!

so intake breakdown, for breakfast I had pancakes with syrup, lunch was a PB&J, and dinner was chicken fettuccine.. 16 cups of water, no fast food, a little over on my calories, but WAY over on my output of calories...

1575 intake calories, 3458 burned.. Tomorrow after a less grueling walk, the family is planning on prepping for this coming weeks menu.. we all do so much better when we all contribute and cook time is soooo much shorter! I am excited to get some much needed sleep and have another amazing day tomorrow!
