Question:
I am going to be training for a half marathon in June with team in training. The first meet-up is in Feb. I know that I am really going to need to watch my diet and eat healthy hard core once I start training. I've been thinking about using this week to get all my "bad" cravings out of the way, seeing that there is no room for them later on. I'm not using this as an excuse to jump ship on my diet, I swear. I'm just wondering if this will be helpful for sticking to my diet for the next 5 months to come. Any views on this will be MOST helpful. Oh, and P.S. I am still planning on working out, etc if I do end up "pigging-out" this week. I'm not going to let that slide as well.

So it seems that day after day I keep falling into the "MUST EAT EVERYTHING" rut. It really blows. I really hate this time of month. I feel like I have not control over myself at all. I'm starving as we speak. I'm going to eat some cottage cheese though. Try to stay on top of things. Damn you holidays!! I was doing SOO good up until that point. Then they went and messed everything up! Please someone give me a hand to get back on this wagon!

Grr. I've just really fallen off the band wagon the last couple of days. I know it's no excuse, but I have been SO stressed about financial stuff, and the pending "time of the month", that I haven't given a rat's a** as to what I've been eating. This is really not going to get me looking fabulous by summer. OK. Time to get it together. Tomorrow, back on course. I have my healthy breakfast and lunch all packed up and ready for work. Going to put my gym clothes in my bag and get that all set. After work, that is straight where I am heading. No more fooling around! Summer is only 6 short months away. Time to give it my all!! In happier news, I signed up for a 1/2 marathon Thursday night. I am really excited. It's with Team in Training, so I'll have tons of help along the way! :) It's in June, so I have plenty of time to train. I'm very much looking forward to it. Wish me luck! :)

OK. I'm a bit stressed. This is a girl's least favourite time of month, and also the time that it would take a bulldozer to keep me away from the fridge. What is it with being massively hungry during this time? I try to be good. If I get hungry I'll have a piece of fruit or some cottage cheese, etc. but that just never quite satisfies. Then after about 1/2 an hour, some carnal instinct kicks in and if I don't eat everything I can get my hands on, I'll probably die. SO FRUSTRATING!!! Anyone have ANY tips on how to curb you "appetite" during this fabulous time?? Thanks!

Well the holidays have now come and gone, and as I'm sure most people have felt, it was ridiculously difficult to stick with your diet. I did the best that I could, but come New Year I just gave up. Now that I have just finished celebrating my LAST holiday party yesterday, today is my day to start buckling down. And I need it too, because I feel like total shit. My stomach was totally getting used to all the great stuff that I was eating on my diet, and now I feel like I am going to puke every 5 seconds. Fun. So it's back to the grind and back to the goal of looking F A B U L O U S for summer!!! Wish me luck...again!
