My why: Mom died of cancer at 73 in 2012 -still miss her like it just happened. Dad died at 80 in 2017 withering away w/Alzheimer -can't believe I won’t get to hug him again. Diabetic friend almost had foot amputated -now wears a special shoe and has trouble walking. Didn't know how to help them. I was having really bad inflammation in ankles and legs for a year. Suddenly I got such pain in my knee that I can't take my pup for walks or go hiking in the spring woods or get to my fishing spots. Things I could do and loved I suddenly couldn't do. That pushed me over an edge. I am doing something about it and I'm playing to win my life back. Can't do more than walk with a limp yet, but the weight is coming off and I rest up during fasts to let my leg heal and research more In between I'm eating to lose weight and nourish my body and make it strong. Strong enough to be outdoors and moving and enjoying it again.

5/30/18 Line in the sand has been drawn. Either I get healthy or go on meds. I'M GETTING HEALTHY. Focusing on nutrition as I have injuries that are hopefully temporary and prevent a majority of exercises including just walking comfortably. Taking on LCHFRY eating - that's low carb high fat real yummy eating. Started with a 4 day fast. Other than that I'm into fishing, aquariums, gardening and relaxing with my dog.
