Living in Alaska for the last 12 years have like liberated my appetite. When I first arrived I spent the first six months offshore on a seafood processing vessel. The Bering Star, and then the last month in Norton Sound for the Herring harvest on the Discovery Star. For the first month and a half I sat in the galley reading my bible, stopping to eat breakfast lunch and dinner. Always a cup of coffee on hand. By the time the 16/7 work schedule began I had put on 20lbs. no sweat.
