Slowly dealing with eating. Making a point of moving around a great deal after work. Cut and stacked firewood yesterday. Need to do more of that for both winter preparation and good core building exercise.

Just got back from Big Horn Mountains and a weekend with my parents, brother and other relatives. Ate as sensibly as possible with the exception of the ice cream cone yesterday. Did take a hike up a mountain and did some fly fishing on a couple of streams. Fish won the day, but I enjoyed the mountain air and did some scampering over boulders in the streams. Good to have an active weekend. Off to work today.

Back to watching what I eat and doing some more movement. Was gardening after work and put up six quarts of stewed tomato sauce for chili this winter. Fall will soon turn to winter here, so it's time to get ready.

It is now September 5th and I am at 243. It has been a tough nine months since January. Ardis, my loving wife, is gone and I have been using that as an excuse to allow myself to eat and live poorly. I walked to the top of Bear Butte on the 3rd to commemorate our 28th anniversary, leave our wedding rings on "our" mountain and start new. Gotta include healthy living in that plan to start new. Headed back down the treadmill road of 5 workouts per week and less than 45 carbs per meal. Gotta watch the snacking. Here I go, but at least I am not at 275.
