Gained a whole bunch of weight in the last two months of 2010 until finally I could only fit into my extra relaxed fit jeans and my two pairs of fat-arse khakis. Finally weighed in on January 1 and discovered I'd gained seven pounds. Since then, I've eliminated white flour and white sugar from my diet, and it seems to be working for me--it nixes most of the foods I like to eat when I'm not particularly hungry, just bored. It's been about two weeks and I've lost two pounds; an encouraging start to the new year.

I ordered some new hiking boots today; the old ones are down so far on the outsides of the heels that I wobble when I walk in 'em. Hiking=411 calories per hour, and I quite enjoy it (what a deal!)
