2 pounds, that was quick, but the first few usually are. I have a busy weekend away from home so hopefully in the next 4 days another 2 will go.

losing 7.0 lb a week

Hopefully today is lucky 7 to start this weight loss. I chose a realistic goal 133 to 118, not the one I'd prefer, which is 112, and even more impossible. We'll see how it goes. My new job for the last year has me sitting in a chair all day long, and I've gained and weigh more than I ever have in my life.
I'm not good at diets of any kind, I just try to eat less of everything. Easier all day at work than at dinner. I tend to eat too much at dinner taking 2nds. I've tried to make up for that by not snacking after dinner unless it's a fruit popsicle. But difficult when the husband grabs a bag of something fattening and starts eating it in front of me. I have been pretty good at resisting though or I'd be even worse off in the pounds.
Finding the time to exercise is the hardest thing. I've made some changes. Started walking the hill my office is on at lunch. Started working/jumping a horse for a friend 2 or 3 days a week (not just trail riding either, really working). When I watch TV I try to lay on the floor in front of it and exercise instead of just parking on the sofa. Try to put music on and dance in the patio, that part I've slacked on am usually cleaning or need to do laundry. Additional exercise has to take a back seat.
Motivation to lose started when I wanted to go to a horse show with this horse and could not fit in my show clothes. That and I went to the Dr. for my annual exam and had to get weighed. I hadn't weighed myself in about 9 months. I knew I wouldn't like what I saw, but my tight clothes didn't let me stay oblivious anyway.
If I did all I'm doing now and was still in my 20's I'd be think as a stick. At 56 It just doesn't come off.
