Well, if I didn't know I was out of shape before, today was a humbling experience. I got a free iTunes track for "mastering the treadmill." It was a 30 minute track. OY! Within a couple of minutes, they had me "slow jogging" which was fast for me. Holy COW! I tell you, I lasted for about 20 seconds. Everything felt wrong. My shins ached, my feet felt like they would give, and my butt-fat flopped around in pain!!! HAAAAAAA! It's going to be many many many months before I could do anything like this. Cripes! So I did my usual 3 MPH walk. :D

Sigh. Well we did not start our diets this week as planned, so I don't have any loss to report. It's been stressful around here since my husband's father was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer a few months ago. Every day has stressers and it's hard to add the stress of planning eating and dieting. So I'm approaching it from a different direction. I've planned all low fat meals for the week and gotten in some decent food, but I don't think we'll be counting points. Maybe we'll lose weight anyway.

Weighed in today on my own scale instead of the Doctors, so I was about 9 pounds lighter. Go figure. I KNOW I did not lose 9 pounds. So I changed my starting weight. Just to make me feel good, I say I lost a pound. HA. Anyway, go back to the doctor next week and can weigh at home and there to compare.

Today is the begining of two transition weeks. This is where my husband and I increase exercise and cut out some bad stuff from the house…like Coke and halloween candy for one! Tough time of the year for a chocolate lover!
I just had my blood pressure taken on Friday. WOW, it is high. And while that runs in my thin family, I am sure it is due to my 100 pounds of extra weight. So… I always know what I have to do, it is just the doing it.
