Fast over at 45.75 hours. I re-fed last night and was pleased with how I felt. Each fast gets easier with fewer and fewer issues. Love it. Can't believe I just typed that. A year ago I would have thought I was crazy going two days without food.
Back to eating to RDI or greater to continue my metabolism correction. I will fast again (2 days) for the next two weeks and then stop the week I will be having blood work. I want good results and have learned a ton from Dave Feldman about managing my body in preparation of blood work. I am excited for the results. I hope and pray that I am no longer pre-diabetic. Lord knows I sure feel a lot better eating and fasting this way!
Onward and downward fellow FS'ers!

losing 4.9 lb a week
23 July 2018
Good morning! I made it through 12 days of eating normally (keto) and eating to my RDI or more. My weight fluctuated day to day, but overall, it stayed right where I wanted it to and I think it went a long way toward getting my body prepared to fast/feast my way to my goal weight and beyond. I don't think my metabolism is completely repaired; but it was great to eat to satiety without packing pounds on in the process.
Back to a 40+ hour fast. I will eat dinner tomorrow and the last meal I had was last night. I think I will do this every other week for a while and see where it leads. It is super easy to do and still allows me to me enjoy time with my new beau and evenings out with him without restriction (other than keto foods). I have now cooked several keto meals for him and he really likes them (of course he does - eating keto can be really tasty!!)
I am also back in the gym. I think fasting really helped my knee inflammation. I haven't had knee pain in almost a month. I have been back at the gym for 3 weeks. I really enjoy working out while I am fasting - you can almost feel those fat cells giving themselves up for energy.
I hope you have a great week everyone! Onward and downward!

steady weight

No weigh in this morning. I am going to eat to my RDI and macros for the whole week and see how my metabolism is doing. Hoping for the best as I continue my journey to repair my damaged metabolism. Onward and downward (fingers crossed!!)

Day two of fasting. I have done a 42+ hour fast every week for the past four weeks. I do intermittent fasting on the other 5 days. I am really enjoying the benefits of fasting now that I figured out my gut issues. My weight loss is steady. I eat well on my five feasting days and stay on track with my macros. I am restoring my metabolism after damaging it with caloric restrictions for the past few years.
I never thought I could fast. Go without a meal? You have got to be kidding! I am so happy that I am getting it mastered. My journey has been gradual (first, I did intermittent fasting and now I am building toward more and more hours). The benefits have been so awesome, I can't believe how much better my knee feels. I had been taking ibuprofen every day; but in the past three weeks, no ibuprofen whatsoever! Amazing. I still walk and work out every day, so it the change isn't from resting the knee. I even ran a bit last Saturday (something I could never do) with no pain or issues.

losing 1.0 lb a week
02 July 2018
I did well last week on weight loss despite over-indulging on alcoholic beverages for the week. There were just too many parties/events and I am feeling it today as I am 13 hours into my first 36 hour fast of the week. I am hungry. I think my carbs were way too high last week and that makes me hungrier than I should be. I will try to do three 36-hour fasts this week because of the holiday and how I ate/drank over the weekend.
I am trying to date and that makes my diet/lifestyle harder. It is often hard for others to understand how much time/effort I put into getting myself healthier. I had a hard time explaining my resolve on sticking with my diet and then I finally just did it. I showed my date my before picture. Praying I didn't scare him away...
