I'm having a great Atkins day. I really think that I can do this with some planning. I overslept and didn't make it to the gym this am. My gym buddy is on vacation so it wasn't a big deal. I got up and made my usual omelet, bacon, and sausage. I added two splendas to my coffee with heavy cream. Then, I cut all of the vegetables in my frig. I made a huge vegetable platter like I do for a party or happy hour.
Then, I went shopping and got my nails and feet done. My mom got a pretzel dog at Auntie Anne's. She wanted to know if I wanted to get a burger sans bun. No thanks! I was not hungry or craving anything, This in itself is a miracle. When I worked at the mall, we'd get two pretzel dogs and a big soft drink. Back in the day, I still would have been craving more! Anyway, I then came home and dressed for the gym.
At the gym, the weight room was almost empty. I did two sets of the ten machine exercises that the trainer put us on. I probably overdid it a bit, I then did 35 on the treadmill. I came home and ate the low carb chicken with sun dried tomatos that I made yesterday. I put it on a bed of spinach and Cole slaw mix veggies. Then, I added more low carb vegetables and some oil and vinegar. I actually had to throw some of it out because I was full. Now, full doesn't mean stuffed and sick. It means not hungry!
I am a little disappointed that I am not losing faster. However, I do wonder if I am gaining muscle. I have been working out a lot. It seems that when I do induction right, I lose my appetite and cravings. I've stopped buying those Atkins bars...
