Today I went to the doctor for my yearly exam. I quit smoking 112 days ago and have gained 25+ pounds since I quit. The beginning of this year, I weighed approximately 135-140 pounds. I was a size 3-5 in pants and XS-S in tops. In June, July, and August, I was wearing a bikini and had probably gained around 10 pounds due to extra salt intake (working in grounds keeping on a golf course.) August 16, I quit smoking. Since August (I was probably around 145-150) I have noticed excessive stress and weight gain due to excessive eating and excessive stress.. which are caused by excessive eating from excessive stress, due to excessive weight gain.... They definitely go hand-in-hand! Today, I weighed in at 186 pounds! That is the most I have ever weighed in my entire life time. I am a size 8-11 in pants, and a medium-large in tops! I know what foods are healthy.. That is not my problem. I am having trouble controlling the amount of food I eat. My doctor suggested I use a food journal to hold myself accountable for everything I eat/drink. Here's to my 50 pound weight loss goal!
