I honestly have no idea how I gained the weight as I've been sticking to Atkins really well.

I've been adding fibre to my food and taking water retention tablets as well as checking myself everyday with ketostix to make sure I'm on the right track - they were always bright pink, so I haven't done anything wrong.

Yet I've somehow gained weight.

As of today, I'm giving up Atkins. I'm the same weight now as I was 2 weeks ago, and I've given up everything I love to eat in exchange for gaining weight. This diet worked for a little while, but I feel it's just not for me.

I came out of ketosis a few hours ago and I feel I can think A LOT clearer + I generally feel better in myself.

I'm going to start calorie counting and intermittent fasting tomorrow, so I don't fall completely off the wagon, while still keeping my carbs low but not so low that I go into ketosis.

I've learned a lot doing Atkins and I genuinely respect the diet. I won't turn my back to it completely.

Onwards and upwards.
