Today I have been very hungry, which is not normally the case. I guess a can of soup for lunch was not enough. I don't like feeling hungry. It's very cold in the office today and my body is craving warmth in the form of food! I'm eating too many fat calories and not enough protein. Can't lose weight that way!

Today is a good day. I stayed up late talking with an old friend that I had not seen in about 20 years. She was at our house when I got home from work and surprised me with a Madame Alexander Doll for my birthday. She was beautiful and she had MY name! Thank you Annette!

Today is my birthday! I am 52 years old and in better shape than I was 10 years ago. Hallelujah! I'm still not where I want to be, but I'm working on it. So, at least I'm trying.
I went back to the Dietitian yesterday and have a new meal plan. And, since I've had 2 meetings this morning at work, I'm already behind on the eating schedule. I can't catch up, so I will just move forward. I get busy at work and forget to eat or drink. To allevitate this, I have set reminder alerts on my Outlook email.
I made some terrific turkey/vegetable soup for dinner. Lots of healthy stuff thrown into one pot! it was easy and delicious!

Do you record a food in your journal if you don't hold it down? This happens to me a lot. I was told by the nurse that it is my esophagus I'm having trouble with. I don't want to go through the stretching procedure. Most times if I drink hot tea before a meal, I can eat a little bit. I'm concerned with all the vomiting that it will affect the lining of my esophagus.

We had an earthquake yesterday in Virginia. I am on the coast of North Carolina in a 3 story hospital building and we felt it. It was very scary. The entire building was moving. It was a feeling of utter helplessness. It was very unnerving for me. I went to Haiti on a missions trip in August of 2010 to help the victims. I cannot imagine what the people of Haiti went through.
