Ok, I am having a bad day. I might be having a bad year. I have finally gotten to the weight where I am very uncomfortable and I need to do something about it. I've started going back to the gym but noticed on the scale that my weight seems to be going up. Most people say this is muscle gains but I find that hard to believe after only 3 weeks of working out with the weights. I also noticed that my recovery time has increased since it's been almost 5 years since I've had a regular exercise routine. on top of the difficulties in getting motivated I have to deal with life's ups and down. Today, life won the battle. I allowed my problem to discourage me from going to the gym. It seemed as though all I could think about was "what was the point". My feet hurt, my knees hurt, my legs hurt and I don't seem to be losing any weight. So guess what boys and girls my self-sabotaging mind convinced me that I would feel better if I just went to the vending machine at work and have a nutty bar on top of the lunch I had prepared last night.
Very discouraged right now.
