Weekend at home for Amy's birthday, so although I tried to make good choices, I relaxed a bit over the weekend. Had compensated in the week in anticipation, and I seem to have got away with it, but we'll see how my body reacts this week.

We seem to be heading in the right direction now, if very slowly. But then, I guess that's the best way! Have also slipped a bit in the last few days - still in negative energy balance (except 1 day), but only by a handful of calories. I need to be at least 800 calories down each day for the next 3 just to get back on track. Especially as I'm heading home this weekend, with meals out etc, I need to keep a lid on things for the rest of this week!

I hope this is just part of the daily swing! Fingers crossed the general trend is down.
I'm going to continue weigh in daily for the time being, though, so I can get an idea of how big these fluctuations are, and if there's a pattern.

I've looked up FSA recommendations, and will aim to adjust my diet accordingly. I'm putting it here to (1) remind me, (2) then it is to hand!
From my 1900kcal/day, 50% should come from carbohydrate, no more than 35% from fat, and the rest (15%) from protein (although some will come from fibre, also).
I must not eat more than 6g salt per day (2400mg sodium).
I should aim for at least 2 litres of water/day.
I really need to get more active! Getting back into work, and esp the lab will help, but need to do more. Start with getting back to Yogalates, as posture needs serious improvement, and will hopefully help with implant etc.
To lose 1lb/week, I need to burn off 3500 more calories than I eat. In other words, net -500kcal/day. EVERY day!!

There are 32 weeks until Helen and James' wedding. I want to aim to lose 0.5kg per week between now and then (16kg total). This would get my BMI down to 22.8.
To get to a healthy BMI, I must lose at least 10kg (71kg).
