I've had a rough few weeks, not related to food, just life in general, but I am here right now to record the smart decisions/habits I have been trying to live out related to food. These are the things that have been helping me succeed in losing weight...
1) Not eating between meals (never skipping meals either)
2) Drinking lots of water
3) Avoiding fried foods and fast foods
4) Keeping it simple
5) Planning my days the night before
6) Understanding sometimes I will make poor choices or let myself splurge
7) Not keeping things in the house that I know I will eat if they're there
...for example, if I want a cookie every night, I will go to wherever I can get a single cookie, get one that day, and that's it. The next day I will have to get another one. Case in point...yesterday I made the mistake of getting an eight pack of oreos and also got one cookie in my kids' dinner that I kept (I am saving them, trust me!) lol
well guess what, last night, I ate 9 cookies!!! Ughhh, if they are here, I will eat it. Lesson learned....many times...
8) Not denying myself or planning to deny myself. If I say I can't have it, I want it 10x more!
