SUNSCREEN ON HCG
cmax, I agree with you. Wow these folks are really full of themselves. So as my last post on this topic: I am taking the homeopathic HCG under the tongue. I've lost 5.5 lbs. in 4 days and I'm ok with that.
The recipes are really tasty and easy to make. I'm using extra virgin coconut oil for a body lotion. I love it! I may never go back to those expensive brands I used to use. I have plenty of energy, I'm not hungry and really enjoy using the natural products recommended. I wish you all the best on whatever weight loss program you chose.

More and more the mutation of our genes are thought responsible for obesity. For instance:
Progress in identifying the multiple genes associated with the most common form of obesity has been slow but is accelerating. As of October 2005 (the latest update of the Human Obesity Gene Map), single mutations in 11 genes were strongly implicated in 176 cases of obesity worldwide. Additionally, 50 chromosomal locations relevant to obesity have been mapped, with potential causal genes identified in most of those regions. (Chromosomes are threadlike structures that contain the genes densely packed into the nucleus of each cell.) Also, studies using genome-wide scans have focused on 253 groups of genes related to obesity, with about one-fifth of them reported by two or more studies. (Genome is the total number of genes contained in the chromosomes.) Finally, 426 variants of 127 genes have been associated with obesity. At least five independent studies have replicated each association in 22 of these genes.

While it's fine to disagree with science, it would be nice to understand on what facts those that disagree base their opinions.

Recently, several independent population-based studies report that a gene of unknown function (FTO, fat mass and obesity-associated gene) might be responsible for up to 22% of all cases of common obesity in the general population. Interestingly, this gene also shows a strong association with diabetes. The mechanism by which this gene operates is currently under intense scientific investigation.

Obesity isn't a disease. It's the product of a sedentary lifestyle combined with an abundance of calories.

If a person loses 4 pounds by crapping all the water out of their system it isn't fat loss, only water loss, and is completely meaningless.

Weight loss isn't the goal. Fat loss is the goal.

Please link to the study. I want to know who conducted it if we're really going to debate this.

As of Dec. 15, 2009, the World Health Organization (WHO), FDA, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) have all stated that obesity is a disease. The CDC and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have not taken a position on whether or not obesity is a disease. The U.S. House of Representatives in its Oct. 29, 2009 health care bill H.R. 3962 included obesity as a "behavioral risk factor" and not as a disease.

Who are you quoting? Must have missed that.

I was looking into this diet and found the following from a medical study.

hCG administration does not render weight loss better than any other Very Low Calorie Diet.

BUT hCG treated patients lost more body fat than non treated patients.

Is there any benefit from the use of the method hCG+diet to treat overweight?

As we have explained before, hCG-treated patients lost more body fat than non treated patients. And fat content is the kernel of the disease we call obesity.

When evaluating the efficiency from any obesity treatment, we must assess whether the procedure decreases body fat to a greater extent when compared to other approaches. We do not have to assess weight loss, fat loss is the answer.

If I give a diuretic to the patient and request him to come back in three hours, and he has lost four pounds after three hours : does it mean that diuretics administration is an effective procedure for weight loss?. Absolutely no.

Are there other benefits from the use of hCG for obesity treatment?

Yes. Patients feel in a good mood throughout the treatment period. They do not report irritability, weakness. They look fine. Sleep improves.

Also they notice a decrease in the size of their body circumferences, referred as "Clothes fit fine, better than any other regular diet". A very important remodeling of body contour is observed (due to the fact that hCG+diet decreases body fat better than any other obesity treatment).

I see that most of you are very firm in your belief that this diet is a scam...and those that want to discuss the merits are treated like lepers or made fun of. I'll take the chance, even from the "princess".
